3. Audio Files and Documents

  • Your uploaded audio files and generated documents are stored securely in your private account.
  • Audio files and documents are private to you — other users cannot access your content.
  • Audio is sent to third-party AI processing services to perform transcription and document generation. These services process your audio as needed to deliver the service and are bound by their own privacy and data handling policies.
  • You can delete your audio files and documents at any time from your account.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate SpeakKey:

  • Authentication and storage: Your account data, audio files, and documents are stored using industry-standard cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest.
  • Payment processing: Stripe handles all payment transactions. Your payment details are managed entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers.
  • AI processing: Audio is processed by external AI services to generate transcriptions and documents.

5. Cookies and Sessions

  • We use session cookies to keep you signed in. These are essential for the service to function.
  • Session cookies expire after 24 hours.
  • We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Data Security

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
  • Session cookies are HTTP-only and marked secure in production.
  • Audio files and documents are stored in private, per-user storage.
  • We implement rate limiting and security headers to protect the service.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Your account data, audio files, and documents are retained as long as your account is active.
  • You may delete individual documents and audio files at any time.
