By creating an account or using SpeakKey, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

SpeakKey is an AI-powered voice-to-text service that converts audio recordings into professional documents. The service includes audio upload, browser-based recording, AI transcription, document generation using templates, and document management.

3. Account Registration

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years of age to use SpeakKey.

4. Free Trial

• New users receive a 7-day free trial with full access to all features.
• No credit card is required to start a free trial.
• After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using the service.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

• Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
• Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice provided through the service.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support@speakkey.com for refund requests.

6. Your Content

• You retain ownership of all audio files you upload and documents generated through the service.
• You grant SpeakKey a limited license to process your audio through third-party AI services solely for the purpose of providing the transcription and document generation service.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and process any audio content you submit.
• You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes on the rights of others.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the service.
• Use automated tools to access the service beyond normal usage patterns.
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization.

8. AI Processing Disclaimer

SpeakKey uses third-party AI services to process audio and generate documents. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated transcriptions and documents may contain errors or inaccuracies.
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all generated content before use.
• SpeakKey does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated output for any particular purpose.

9. Service Availability

• We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
• We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.
• We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SpeakKey and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

• You may close your account at any time by contacting support@speakkey.com.
• We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms.
• Upon termination, your right to access the service ceases. Your stored data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service. Continued use of SpeakKey after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
